Mr. Richard K.C. Mak, CFA
President
Mr. Richard Mak, CFA, is the Managing Director and Head of Advisory – Asia of Pictet Wealth Management. Richard Mak joined Pictet in 2011 to lead the Asia Advisory Team to provide investment advices to high net-worth investors in Asia. Prior to joining Pictet, he was the Head of Advisory-Asia at BNP Paribas Wealth Management.

Richard has over 30 years of experience in financial industry with 17 years in Japanese equity investments working for various institutions including Lombard Odier, Skandia Asset Management, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, and Nomura. He has been advising private clients on global investments since 2003.

Richard is a board member of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts. He was the President Council Representatives for Asia Pacific Region of the CFA Institute from 2004 to 2008.

Richard holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute since 1993. He graduated from The University of Hong Kong with the Bachelor of Social Sciences.
 
Mr. Vincent Ng, CFA
Vice President
Mr. Vincent Ng, CFA, joined Atlantic-Pacific Capital in 2007 and is the Partner responsible for the Asia-Pacific region, which includes deal origination and product distribution across markets such as Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Atlantic-Pacific Capital is one of the largest independently owned global placement agent and advisory firm dedicated to raising capital for alternative investments. Vince has worked on more than 50 global fundraisings that have included strategies such as private equity growth and buyouts, infrastructure, energy, and real estate. Vince is a regular speaker at major private equity and industry conferences across the region.

Prior to joining Atlantic-Pacific, Vince started and managed the Fund Placement Advisory Group at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance in Hong Kong where he was responsible for deal sourcing, distribution and project management for the Asia-Pacific region. Vince has also worked in the London offices of Deloitte and Arthur Andersen where he provided financial advisory services such as audit and assurance, financial due diligence, M&A structuring, and company valuations.

Vince earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from Queen Mary, University of London and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. Vince is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) in the United Kingdom, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Hong Kong, and a CFA charterholder.
 
Mr. Charles Chui, CFA
Treasurer
Mr. Charles Chui, CFA, is a seasoned investment professional with 19 years of experience in the private banking and wealth management business; major strengths in equity and fixed income analysis with qualifications as both a CFA and a CPA Australia charterholder. He has exposure to major international European investment bank and Swiss private banking business, with major functions in overseeing the North Asian (including Japan) economics and capital market asset allocation decision. Charles is also equipped with long term track record in investment advisory services, with the goal of enhancing investment returns of high net worth individuals and corporations while at the same time optimizing their overall portfolio’s risk and return profile.
 
Mr. Alvin M. Ho, CFA
Director and Society Secretary
Mr. Alvin Ho, CFA, is an experienced investment principal with demonstrated track records in private equity. He is skilled in deal structuring, due diligence, venture capital/private equity, corporate finance, IPO, and business reengineering. He is the managing director of a private investment vehicle which looks to invest and advise on several high growth sectors. Aside from serving as member of the board for several public companies, he has recently authored a book on the business of sports.
 
Ms. Ashley P.W. Khoo, CFA
Director
Ms. Ashley Khoo, CFA, is an asset management and investment banking professional with comprehensive buy-side and sell-side experience, inclusive of portfolio management, fundamental/quantitative/pre-deal research covering Asian and China markets, multi-asset class investment, and Big 4 financial advisory with financial institutions.

Khoo is a board member of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts, spearheaded launch of Asset Owner Series in Hong Kong—the first city outside of New York. She is currently the Chairperson of Continuing Education Committee’s full day workshop, Co-Chair of ESG Special Interest Group, Industry Relations Committee and Women in Investment Management Special Interest Group. Khoo is CFA Institute’s Presidents Council Governance Committee Member, Honorary Advisor and Investigation Committee Member of Financial Reporting Council, and Expert Advisor, Council Member and Vice Chair of Investment Committee of Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia.

Khoo holds a Master of Economics degree from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington, with a double major in Accounting and Computer Information System. She is a CFA and CPA charterholder.
 
Mr. William H.P. Leung, CFA
Director
Mr. William Leung, CFA, is a Partner and member of the Investment Committee at Overlook Investments. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, with Honours, in Finance from the University of British Columbia in 2001 and followed that by gaining a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at Columbia University in 2002.

William joined Baring Asset Management in 2003 as an Investment Analyst and joined HSBC Asset Management in a similar role in 2004. In 2005, he joined Acru Asset Management and over a 10-year period worked his way up to Investment Director. At Acru Asset Management, he had responsibility for co-managing the Acru China Absolute Return Fund, a value driven, Greater China hedge fund. In 2015, he established Fundatech Capital, his own boutique investment fund which invested, long/short, in Asia. William is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
 
Mr. Claudius Tsang, CFA
Director
Mr. Claudius Tsang, CFA, is a Partner and Co-Head of Private Equity, North Asia of Templeton Asset Management Ltd., a subsidiary of Franklin Resources, Inc. (NYSE: BEN). He is responsible for analyzing and evaluating strategic equity investments in North Asia. Prior to rejoining Franklin Templeton in 2008, Claudius managed private equity and PIPE (Private Investment in Public Equity) deals in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and the United States for Lehman Brothers. Previously, he also worked for Korea Development Bank, the China Chem Group and Jardine Fleming.

Claudius is a CFA charterholder and served as Disciplinary Review Committee member of CFA Institute from 2006 to 2009. He is currently a Director and the Secretary of the Board of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts and a committee member of Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong as well as the Tsinghua Alumni Association of Hong Kong.

Claudius holds an M.B.A. with honours, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In addition, he earned a bachelor of law from Tsinghua University and a bachelor of engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
 
Ms. Felicia C.W. Wong, CFA
Director
Ms. Felicia Wong, CFA, is currently a Senior Manager in the Internal Audit Division at a leading US investment bank, with primary coverage in Institutional Securities Sales & Trading business. She has over ten years of experience in the financial industry including prior work experience at Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC providing audit coverage in Institutional Securities and Risk Management during 2012-2015. Prior to that, she was with Bank of Montreal in Toronto as an Audit Manager and Quantitative Specialist, and later transitioned to Capital Market Treasury providing risk oversight on liquidity and funding before moving to Hong Kong in 2012. Felicia is a CFA charterholder and an FRM. Felicia holds a Master of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Waterloo.
 
Mr. Adam T.Y. Wong, CFA

Mr. Adam Wong, CFA, is currently an Executive Director in one of the global banks. Before that, He was Ultra High Networth Banker covering HK & South China and co-chair of Asia Advisory Council of JP Morgan. Adam is one of the co-founders of CFA Society Hong Kong running team as well as CFA Society Hong Kong Mentorship Programme. He also co-chair Member Services Committee - Networking Events Sub-group. Adam is a CFA charterholder and an FRM. Adam graduated from University of Hong Kong majoring in Economics and Finance with First class honour.

Ms Joanna Kwok, Msc, MBA, Chartered Marketer, CRP, CPM
Managing Director
Ms Joanna Kwok is the Managing Director of CFA Society Hong Kong, one of the extra-large societies under CFA Institute, with over 6,000 financial analysts and professional membership.

Ms Kwok was former Director of Executive Development Centre, HSUHK, where she founded the Centre in 2015 and was responsible for the development of their executive training programmes, organizing conferences and providing consultancy services for business corporations and government units. She is a seasoned professional in the marketing, corporate communications, training and education fields with more than 30 years of relevant experiences.

Prior to HSUHK, Ms Kwok spent 13 years with CFA Institute. Her last position was Director, Society Relations, providing strategic consultancy for the marketing, business development and operation of their 20+ member societies across APAC region. She joined CFA Institute in 2002, handled office management, human resources, IT, marketing and event administration work, as well as expanded their presence in the Asia Pacific region.

Before that, she held senior positions in local and multinational firms. Other than spokesperson, she initiated many successful brand & image building, marketing and corporate communications programmes for these renowned corporations, including Edelman PR, Kodak, ABB Asea Brown Boveri, HK School of Motoring, HK Exporters’ Association, Esquel etc.

She has been part-time lecturers on various executive programmes covering crisis management, marketing communications, consumer behaviour and branding for more than 10 years. In addition, she has been Programme & Career Advisor for the Global Marketing Management Master degree programme co-organised by Sheffield University, UK & Baptist University, HK since its inception. She is also a Blogger for CTgoodjobs particularly on career development and frequently being interviewed by different media on career advice and HR issues. Currently, she is also the Honorary Consultant, Wu Jieh Yee Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (WUCIE), Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), helping to advise and develop their training and outreach services.

Ms Kwok obtained her Master of Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Master of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde, UK. She is also a Chartered Marketer, Certified Marketing Professional, Certified Project Manager and Certified Risk Planner.
